On the occasion of World Okapi Day, celebrated every October 18, Naviprojects Kinshasa organized an educational and recreational event at the SECAM Orphanage in the Selembao district of Kinshasa.

Around twenty children took part in this special day dedicated to reading, reflection, and creativity. Through story readings, quiz sessions, and okapi-themed coloring activities, the children learned more about the okapi, a unique and emblematic animal found only in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

In a warm and joyful atmosphere, the children also shared a moment of relaxation and a friendly meal together.
The director of the orphanage expressed her deep emotion and gratitude for the book donation, which aims to encourage reading among children from an early age.

According to Jessica Modua, representative of Naviprojects Kinshasa,

“This donation, made possible through the support of a generous sponsor, is a way to raise children’s awareness about the natural and cultural wealth of our country.”

This initiative reflects Naviprojects’ ongoing commitment to promoting reading, protecting the environment, and celebrating the Congolese heritage through educational and creative activities for children.
